Hello!  My name is April Kadtke.  I was born and raised in Newark, Delaware.  I grew up in a Christian home. At the age of seven, my father led me to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  God has taught me many important lessons in my twenty years of life.  I believe God led me to Liberty University.  I am a junior and my major is music education.  I am involved with the band at Liberty.  Especially with the Liberty University Marching Band, "The Spirit of the Mountain."  I enjoy the privilege of serving as one of three field commanders for the band.       I enjoy playing my flute and preparing for performances.  I love doing outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, basketball, softball, and other sports.  I enjoy watching the birds eat from the feeder outside my window, and I love the sound of birds in the morning.  I love the sight of God's magnificent creations!   http://www.perfectpitch.com/ This website is a good resource because it teaches a different method of ear training.  Ear training is important in music education, and is an important skill, students of music, need to learn.  The site sells books and CD's for teaching, as well as, for learning.  http://www.lessonplanspage.com/Music.htm The website is a good resource because it has a number of different websites for all grades, from preschool to college age students. http://www.canteach.ca/elementary/music.html This website is a good resource because it has lesson plans for younger children.  It uses simple, yet effective, methods of teaching music.  It also contains activities to go with the lessons.
